Dr. Adam Katz was born and raised in Ottawa Ontario. After completing his Bachelor of Science, Integrated Science Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, he moved to Philadelphia to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2003.
He completed internships all over Canada and U.S. including St. Louis, Binghamton, Vancouver, Ottawa and Indianapolis for surgical and clinical training.
After graduating with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, he worked in private practice in Gatineau, Quebec using his bilingual education to treat a mostly French patient base.
In 2008, Dr. Katz moved to Regina to work in the public sector at the Regina General Hospital treating patients from Moosomin to Ft. Qu’Appelle and the growing city of Regina. By 2011 Dr. Katz was the only public podiatrist for the entire Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region and focused primarily on the high risk patient base dealing with wound care, limb salvage, and amputation prevention. Along with developing the RQHR Foot Health Clinic, Dr. Katz also spear headed a mentorship program in which all Regina Family Medicine Residents spent time learning some “pearls” of Podiatric Medicine.
Outside of work Dr. Katz is a member of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Pep Band, and the Prairie Winds Concert Band playing drums, and performing at the past 8 Grey Cups, and has travelled all over North America and Central America, Europe, and Israel - obviously bitten by the travel bug. With the abolishment of public podiatry services in Saskatchewan, Dr. Katz has now returned to private practice continuing to serve the residents of Saskatchewan at the Guerin-Stewart Podiatry Clinic.
